After a major storm, look for missing or damaged shingles, dents or cracks in metal parts, water leaks, and debris impact on your roof. If you notice any of these signs, it's a good idea to have a professional roofing inspection to assess the extent of the damage. After identifying damage, document it with photos, contact your insurance company, and consider temporary repairs to prevent further damage.

Wind Damage
Missing or damaged shingles:
Look for shingles that are missing, curled up, cracked, or show signs of damage.
Dents or cracks:
Inspect metal parts like flashing, vents, and gutters for dents or cracks caused by hail or debris.
Water leaks:
Check the attic for signs of water leaks, water stains, or damp insulation.
Debris:
Look for debris on the roof that could have caused damage or could cause further damage if left on the roof.
Granule loss:
Observe for missing granules, small gritty particles, on the roof or in the gutters.
Gutters:
Check for dents, bends, or blockage in the gutters, which can indicate damage and water flow issues.
Roof features:
Look for dents or scratches around roof features like chimneys and vents.
