Step 1.
Property Assessment
The first thing you need is to have your home inspected by a professional to document any possible damage caused by wind (blown debris and/or missing shingles), hail or snow (storm damage). A home inspection can help by making you aware of whether or not your home has pre-existing damages and help to prevent insurance companies from claiming they should not cover the damage for that reason. Our goal is to get your home back to pre-storm condition while working together with your insurance company. Your insurance company will financially cover all material and labor needed to repair or replace any of the following: roof, siding, gutters, downspout, skylights, flashing ,windows and window wraps that are damaged by hail or wind and/or water. To Schedule an inspection please contact us at 847-921-5808 or email.
Step 2.
Our field inspector will help you with the process from start to finish. We will make sure all damages and photos are included with all information and evidence your provider needs to accept a claim.
If interior damage have been completed, we will document repairs as well, include copies of all receipts for personal items that was damaged, and an estimate of what it will cost to repair the interior. All photos, estimates and repairs well be handled by your representative from VMC.
Submit a Claim
Step 3.
An insurance adjuster will need to visit your home and assess the damage themselves to validate your claim. We will manage a time and date for us to meet with your adjuster. When the adjuster arrives, we will discuss your repair needs together. Next , your insurance will email you with an estimate of repairs being covered. We will meet to discuss whats being covered, if your insurance adjuster missed something, we will send in more evidence along with any other estimate/documentation needed. Once we have an agreement on whats being covered, we will move forward with selecting color for: roof, vents, gutters, siding, window wraps etc....
Adjuster Appointment
Step 4.
Schedule/Build
Once your claim has been approved, and the settlement quote is sufficient to properly fix the damage, we all meet to pick out your shingle color and schedule a build date. All material used are discussed and explained at this meeting.
Step 5.
Clean Up
The clean-up process doesn’t begin after the roof replacement, it’s happening during the entire roofing process. After your new roof is installed, 95% of the ground should already be clean. All nails will be magnetically picked up. Two-inspections are conducted on both the roof and ground for any debris, nails and shingles not to be missed.
Step 6.
