ROOF REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT
When to Replace Your Roof?

While there’s no substitute for having a professional roofer inspect your roofing system, here are some signs your roof needs attention:
Damaged or missing shingles – Damaged or missing shingles indicate a worn-out roof. When shingles start to curl, develop cracks, or lose their granules, they cannot protect your roof properly. Light comes through the attic – If you can see the sky from your attic, your roof has holes. Call a pro immediately to reduce water damage in the home. Widespread staining – Stains often indicate algae and moss damage. Algae and moss degrade shingles and may cause water damage. If the damage is widespread, your roof could be compromised.
Age – If your roof is old and deteriorating , it’s already exceeded its average lifespan. Asphalt roofs tend to last 20 years. The closer yours gets to 20, the more likely it is to fail. Rather than wait until this happens (and deal with the stress of emergency replacement), plan ahead.

If you spot any of those signs, have a roofer come out. While minor problems may be repairable, in many cases it’s more practical (and cost-effective) to replace a worn roof with a high-quality roofing system.
Siding
Siding can hold up to heat, rain, cold, and impact better than most other building materials. Even with a strong wind that blows debris against your home, siding has the durability and flexibility to absorb it with little visible damage. Your home's siding also repels water. Your home's exterior looks a bit ragged after years of long, harsh winters, giving your siding an upgrade can enhance your home's curb appeal and provide extra protection from harsh weather, pests, and make your home more energy-efficient.

Does updating siding increase home value?

Value Report, replacing siding increases home value by 76.7% of the project cost; for a mid-sized project valued at $15,072, you can recoup $11,554. Let's dive into a few ways vinyl siding helps increase home value: beautiful appearance, durability, low maintenance, and energy efficiency.
Gutter Repair and Replacement
What are the benefits of gutter?

Your home's gutters protect the foundation of your home, prevent erosion, protect your landscaping, and prevent basement flooding. They will prevent staining to the exterior of your home, mitigate paint damage, and stop mold and mildew growth.

Do I need gutters around my entire house?

Whether you need gutters around your entire house depends largely on the size of your house, as well as how many slopes you have dividing it. Properly installed rain gutters are highly effective, so it is often not necessary for gutters to run along the entire structure. That being said, it depends on your home.

Do gutters increase home value?
Outdoor Maintenance – Increasing the curb appeal of your home by repairing or replacing your gutters with newer, less likely to clog versions such as RainTech, as well as sprucing up or replacing siding, is a cost effective way of increasing your home's value, with a 83% return on investment.
Window Replacement
Windows facilitate the entry of natural light indoors. They enable the occupants of a house to enjoy the views of the neighbourhood or locality. In addition, they serve to keep the house cross-ventilated. As such, houses with ample windows will seldom look gloomy or feel stuffy

Why are windows so important?
Windows play a key role in making a house a home. Windows not only add light and ventilation to a home, but allow homeowners to enjoy beautiful scenic views of their property and beyond. Windows can set the stage for a home's interior design, mood and appearance.
Site Management
Site managers work on building and construction sites to ensure a project completes safely, on time, and within budget. They monitor and direct contractor activities from start to finish and direct and oversee various contractors and subcontractors from site preparation and foundation laying to the final touches. Every project has an assigned site manager to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Interior Repairs and Painting
Discoloration and Deterioration

Extensive discoloration, bulging, sagging, damp smells and mold are all signs that your drywall may have suffered irreparable water damage. Removing the moisture source is the priority, but a drywall replacement is often the next step. This process begins once your roof has been repaired or replaced.
Decking/Plywood
Rotting Roof Decking Can Cause Issues.

Rotted plywood cannot support the weight of a roof the way healthy wood can, nor can it safely grip the nails put into the roof and keep them held firm. Moisture causes wood to rot, and rotten wood absorbs water even more readily than fresh wood.

Can you put new plywood over old on a roof?

The risk is that many of the nails could miss the rafters, and will simply fasten the new plywood to the old plywood. The result could be a poorly attached roof surface, more vulnerable to wind damage.
Ice and Water Shield
It's crucial to have ice and water shield installed on/around certain areas of your roof, like roof valleys, around penetrations, and on roofs that have a 2/12, 3/12, or 4/12 pitch. Because of its importance, every roof needs to have it. There's also a code if you live in an area above the snow line in the US. When working with VMC, our installers install ice and water shield 6 ft from the gutters/eves, around all vents , skylights and chimneys. This helps prevent interior water leaks and ice damning during the winter.
